Specialty Doors and Automation offers a complete line of sound, and radiation doors. They range from small walk-through doors that are fitted with acoustic seals and internal insulation, to "elephant" doors used in movie studios and testing facilities. These doors can suppress or block noise from machinery, background traffic or any other undesirable sounds. Security and weather resistant features can be incorporated. Specialty Doors + Automation also has them available as overhead, swinging, horizontal sliding or any special application needed.

Large acoustical sliding doors are referred to as "Stage Doors" or "Elephant Doors. These are used when a swinging hinged door is not practical because of its size, but the sound needs to be controlled. We have sold these systems all over the world and continue to do regular quoting. The vast majority are electrically operated due to their size. The most common sizes run around 18' x20' or higher.
